Sales & Estimating
Contact our sales & estimating department to provide hard bid proposals based on completed design drawings or budget estimates from preliminary designs. We have vast experience in providing accurate estimates for a large variety of steel structures. Our coverage area is generally a 250 mile radius from our Harrisburg, PA location. We can provide quotes for both union and open shop projects depending on the project’s specific labor requirements. We are bondable to $25 million per project and $50 million aggregate.
Project Management
Members of our experienced project management team make sure that every project starts correctly and runs smoothly throughout the entire process from shop drawing preparation, submission and approval, all the way through to fabrication and erection. We will ensure that critical schedules are met in order to meet the milestone of a completed steel structure. All project management processes are integrated through use of the Fabtrol steel fabrication management software. Fabtrol assures document uniformity, material traceability, comprehensive shipping, and quality control.
Engineering, Detailing, & BIM Services
Our detail drawings and erection plans are produced by computer drafting programs that are specific to the structural steel trade (SDS/2 & Tekla). We can provide engineered connections, signed and sealed by a structural engineer licensed in every state that we ship steel to. We are also experienced in providing BIM services if requested. Using technology that continues to revolutionize the industry, we create computer models of the building structure that can be used by follow-up trades. These include MEP and contractors providing the building skin, whose disciplines can be integrated accurately within the structural steel framework.
Fabrication
Our shop is AISC Certified for complex building structures. All of our shop welders are AWS Certified. Our shop labor force is one of the most experienced and skilled in the region. We use the most modern fabrication equipment including a Peddinghaus drill line, automated coping machine, and Peddinghaus Anglemaster. Steel plates are processed on a high-def plasma table. All of this automated equipment is programmed by CNC data downloaded directly from our shop drawing electronic files. Fully integrated CAD/CAM processes assure precise fabrication that ultimately saves time and money for the customer.
